Partnering with our communities

At Elecnor Australia, we believe successful infrastructure delivery depends on positive, productive relationships. Throughout EnergyConnect, our Community and Stakeholder Engagement team work closely with landholders, local communities, councils, Traditional Owners, businesses and other stakeholders  –  recognising that we are guests in the regional communities in which we work. Our focus was to provide clear information, listen to concerns and support positive outcomes for our client’s project.

Our approach was guided by recognised engagement standards, including the IAP2 Spectrum. This means tailoring engagement to the stakeholder, the issue and tage of construction  – from keeping people informed through notifications and updates, to consulting on impacts, resolving issues and collaborating where shared planning is required.

As the project moved from early works into major construction and then close-out, our engagement adapted to community needs and the project impacts. By working closely with Transgrid and our delivery teams, Elecnor aimed to minimise impacts from construction, maintain transparency and trust, and leave a positive legacy in the regions where we worked.
